Boone’s Flugelhorn

Arizona was the last state in the lower 48 to join the union, making it one of the last frontier states, where adventure and fortune are to be had. This Sculpture is named for the folk legend Daniel Boone, a compassionate man who traveled west into the frontier. Inspired by the adventurism of the 20th century, Boone’s Flugelhorn combines the values of the old with new space-age materials and techniques.

Thanks goes to the Town of Gilbert, The Arts Culture and Tourism Board, Bergies Coffee Roast House, Scottsdale Public Art and Influx for making this opportunity a reality. And to those who helped in the making of the sculpture, Evan Jespersen, Amy Masters, Gregory Simoncic, and Deidra West
